SCHOOLS & ORPHANAGES
Our programmes include assisting in primary schools and visiting orphanages. With large class sizes and limited facilities, the primary schools we visit are very enthusiastic about having extra help in class, reading one on one with the pupils, playing games and sport. In addition to this, we are establishing libraries in the schools , trying to collect as many reading books as possible to help and you can bring your old children's books to Kenya to donate.
Spend time with children from an orphanage, reading, playing football with them and hearing about their individual lives. Just reading a story or helping those who may be struggling with literacy, or introducing new games makes a big impact on the children. We take a group of children on a game drive in a nearby conservancy several times a year.
Standing in front of a class of 30 students can be intimidating but learning to keep the class engaged is a fantastic life skill and builds confidence in public speaking, a useful life skill for later on!
