EDUCATION PROGRAMME

Our programmes include several weeks assisting in primary schools. With large class sizes and limited facilities, the primary schools we support benefit hugely from extra help in class, reading one on one with the pupils, playing games and  sport. In addition to this, we are establishing libraries in the schools , trying to collect as many reading books as possible to help . The Africagap students volunteer in small groups and walk to school each day from our small farm. Being able to make a genuine difference to these children, helping those who may be struggling with reading and literacy, or introducing new games, assisting teachers who are at times overwhelmed is a very rewarding experience for everyone.

Standing in front of a class of 30 students can be intimidating but learning to keep the class engaged is a fantastic life skill and  builds confidence in public speaking, a useful life skill for later on!
